AFTER ALLEGED reports surfacing of his departure from Team Liquid PH, things are now official.
Frederic Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales, a player who has carved a legacy for the Orcas and the Cavalry in previous seasons has left the team.
In their recent video, Team Liquid PH looked back at Bennyqt's career where he started with Aura PH back in Season 7. Things spiraled uphill which saw Bennyqt transition into one of the best gold laners in the scene when ECHO PH won the M4 World Championship.
It was also in this tournament where his legendary backdoor plays became a staple, and this was also the time when he has finally transitioned from a highly skilled Filipino player to a world class icon.
With ECHO and Team Liquid, Bennyqt propelled his team to a world championship and two MPL PH trophies.
Where to next?
With 'Bagyong Benny' gone, what's next for the gold laner? As for Team Liquid, they replaced their former star with Kiel "Oheb" Soriano and Masayuki "YukTzy" Fujita.
Bennyqt's status remains unknown as he isn't listed in the MPL PH rosters, and even from the ESL Snapdragon teams. SPIN.ph sources have hinted that Benny is currently assessing his options.
