SPECULATIONS WERE raised the moment Setsuna "Akosi Dogie" Ignacio made an announcement on his M6 livestream, the potential moves that could happen during the offseason.
One player was at the top of discussions, Frederic Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales, one of the best gold laners in the MLBB esports scene.
Dogie went at the top of his lungs saying: "Wala na si Benny[qt]. Nag-chat nga sa akin e. May tryout ba diyan Boss D?"
Then he spilled more tea in which Selangor's John "Innocent" Banal could end up with the cavalry.
He added: "Iba-buyout ng Team Liquid is Innocent. Hindi pumasa si YukTzy. Si Benny umalis, nagalit yung management kasi daldal daw nang daldal yung girlfriend."
This caused fans to speculate on the offseason, which was further elevated when Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno teased fans during one of his livestream sessions, where he scrimmed with Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya and Alston "Sanji" Pabico. Is this a sign that Bennyqt is really departing?
KarlTzy's title on his YouTube livestream also raised eyebrows when the phrase, 'BYEBYE' was seen. Is he planning to leave Team Liquid, or was he referring to someone else?
Various sources told SPIN.ph that Team Liquid are exploring options with their players. As of now, the main roster of Team Liquid remains intact.
Recently, the team made roster moves, letting go of Justine Sadia "Zaida" Palma and Ronnel "Cjay" Espinoza. There are hints suggesting that the former is now with TNC.
