THE PHILIPPINE ESPORTS ORGANIZATION (PESO) and Team Sibol have made a lot of headlines in 2023 as PH esports bagged gold medals in the 2023 IESF World Esports Championship in Iasi, Romania, as well as the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
With so many achievements by the Philippines, the country was awarded as the best National Federation in the scene during the World Esports Summit.
Meanwhile other countries who tried to nab the prestigious award were likewise acknowledged. Indonesia was the runner-up in the award, while Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and Mongolia finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th respectively.

Looking back at PH esports' accolades
In the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, the Philippines finished third overall, as they only garnered two gold medals compared to Indonesia's three. The Philippines stood tall in both League of Legends: Wild Rift and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (men's team).
However the Philippines likewise secured a silver medal under the women's banner of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, while nabbing three bronze medals in VALORANT, Crossfire, and PUBG: Mobile's individual event.
But it didn't last there as the country entered the 2023 IESF World Esports Championship with a lot of momentum, with the Mobile Legends team, which featured majority of the members from the SEA Games roster, once again ended up with a gold medal tally.
Meanwhile the Tekken 7 representatives finished with a silver medal.
