AFTER MONTHS of hinting their entrance in the Philippine Mobile Legends esports scene, things are now set in stone for RRQ Philippines.
In their roster reveal video, it is now confirmed that RRQ Philippines will compete in the upcoming MDL Season 2 campaign.
Their roster consists of the following members: Dai Ki and Ferdz came straight from the amateur scene, then there's former TNC Neo player Shocker.
In addition, the team bolstered their ranks by acquiring former Todak and MPL MY champ, Karl "Karl" Rouvic Devosora and former MPL player Bryan Janus “Y4nusu” Badando (formerly known as Janus).
Leading this team is another MPL veteran, Kenneth "Kenji" Villa. Kenji was a key presence from behind the scenes in RSG PH's campaign under Coach Brian "Panda" Lim.
Meanwhile SUPERKURT was announced to be the team's head coach, while former Digital Devils Pro and Cignal Ultra player, Lester "Tets" Cabalo Santos was announced as the team manager. Prior to the official announcement, Tets was rumored to be gunning his eyes on RRQ PH.
Given his new role as a team manager, Tets' ability to motivate and lead his team to success will be tested.
RRQ's venture in the Philippine MLBB scene isn't the first time that the org has invested in the country as the team once grinded their way in League of Legends: Wild Rift. They currently have a VALORANT team, consisting of Filipinos.
And with RRQ in the Philippine MLBB scene, will the team make strides for an MPL slot? It seems the Kingdom is slowly building their foundation in the Philippines.
