THE LAST TIME Victor "Lunaa" Monteiro appeared in the World Championships was back in M3 when he was representing Brazil's Red Canids.
In that tournament, he became friends with Blacklist International's Royal Duo of Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario.
He even challenged them in the group stages only for his team to falter against the might of the Codebreakers.
And now that he is back in the world stage, specifically in the upcoming M5 World Championship, Lunaa admitted his jubilance of meeting Filipinos after his experience with the V33Wise tandem.
"I'm very happy to be here, it is a dream for every player especially for me. I also want to meet a Philippine [team] because I like Wise and OhMyV33nus so it is a dream for me. I'm truly happy," he reflected in an exclusive with SPIN.ph
However his return will be different as Blacklist International will not feature the dynamic duo. The V33Wise tandem is currently in hiatus, though their recent ventures could hint on their involvement with MOONTON's rival, Riot Games.
Lunaa is aware of their absence and he is hoping that the duo would attend the festivities to watch him play.
"For them not to be here in the World Championship is because they have something important to do, I will always support them. I really like their friendship also as a player. So I hope that they'll be here to watch me," he said.
Fighting for his daughter
But Lunaa's friendship with V33Wise wasn't the only narrative that happened in M3 as it was revealed in a video that the Brazilian MLBB player is fighting for his daughter.
Tears flowing from his eyes, Lunaa expressed his reasons for being an Akai main in MLBB.
"Akai came into the picture because my daughter had health issues and what helped her in this issue was the movie 'Kung Fu Panda'...and so this helped her.
Then it was revealed that his IGN is also his daughter's name.
"My daughter's name is Lunna. Everything I do is for her and my family."
When asked about the condition of his daughter, here's what Lunaa expressed to SPIN.ph.
"She's really fine thanks to God. All of my family members are very supportive of my daughter. Every tournament, every single game that I play is for her and it will always be for her."
Bigetron Sons is currently seeded in Group A, where they'll be facing against the defending MSC and MPL Indonesia champs, Onic Esports.
They'll also encounter heavy resistance from the likes of Cambodia's See You Soon and MENA's Triple Esports.
