IT SEEMS a new code will emerge in Season 13 as Blacklist International's key players will take their hiatus.
The royal duo of Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario will once again take a break. The previous months saw both of them host a podcast while grinding their way in League of Legends.
The duo last made their appearance in the MLBB esports scene back in MSC 2023, where they pushed Blacklist to the finale, only for them to stumble at the hands of Onic Esports.
However, they weren't the only ones who have decided to take a breather as Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse has also opted to take a leave for Season 13.
Before Renejay entered Blacklist, he was once criticized for his lack of professionalism though he eventually silenced his critics upon joining the Codebreakers.
The Hitman has been a revelation for Blacklist, being an integral piece for them during their runs in Season 12 and the M5 World Championship.
How will Blacklist lineup?
With these players gone, questions will be raised on who will step up? So far their primary mainstays namely Edward "Edward" Dapadap, Kiel "Oheb" Soriano, Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo, Salic "Hadji" Imam, Stephen "Sensui" Castillo will suit up for S13. Then there's Kim "Kimpoy" Dela Cruz who will try his best to finally make his breakthrough after spending last season as a reserve player.
Meanwhile, there have been some returnees as Mark "ESON" Gerardo will once again play for the team. ESON tried coaching for the academy's roster back in Season 2.
And to coach this squad, Blacklist will once again rely on the services of Aniel "Master the Basics" Jiandani, Dexter "Dex Star" Alaba, Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza, and Justin "Calad" Limbo.
Given Blacklist's lineup for S13, the question remains on who will serve as the team's primary roamer, and if they're capable of maintaining the brilliance that they once displayed last season.
