LOOKING BACK at Philippine esports back in 2023, there's no denying that AP.Bren and MOONTON Games have been making a lot of headlines given the numerous events and accomplishments that they've achieved.
With the truckload of accolades in their calibre, it made sense for them to dominate the 2023 Philippine Esports Awards.
However, they aren't the only heroes in the local esports scene, as there have been others who have contributed to the success of Philippine esports in 2023.
So without further ado, here are the winners of the 2023 Philippine Esports Awards.
Positive Influencer of the Year - Keith Medrano
Who on earth is Keith Medrano? He doesn't even have social media pages, why is he nominated alongside big names like Alden Richards and Razzie Binx?
For starters, Keith Medrano is MOONTON's Public Relations Manager and given his role, he used his influence to create projects and events which would aid in the growth of PH esports.
PH Esports Lifetime Award - Alodia Gosiengfiao-Quimbo and Ronald Robins
These two individuals have been involved in the scene since the very beginning with Alodia serving as an inspiration to the local cosplaying community, while Robins being one of the original pilars of Mineski. Alodia has also left her mark through the formation of Tier One Entertainment.
Esports Organization of the Year - AP.BREN
Was there any doubt? From the numerous campaigns they had in 2023, ranging from the IESF, SEA Games, and M5 World Championship, AP.Bren brought a lot of pride and honor to the Philippines.
Not only did they win the Organization of the Year award as the Bees have also secured the Smart Communications Inc. 2023 PH Esports Team of the Year trophy.
San Miguel Corporation Esports Athlete of the Year - Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel
From the MPL's humble beginnings, Pheww has been around the scene and his impact was widely felt in 2023. Through his leadership and veteran presence, Pheww provided the spark that paved the way for AP.Bren's dominant 2023 run.
