FORMER world champion Johnriel Casimero has ruffled the feather of a world boxing commission following his latest shenanigan regarding his weight issue.
The Japan Boxing Commission has slapped a one-year ban on Casimero for twice failing to make the official weight in his super bantamweight non-title bout against American Saul Sanchez in Yokohama, Japan.

GMA News Online was first to break the report.
Casimero arrived in the country on Monday but didn’t mention anything about the suspension meted against him by the JBC in a Facebook post showing him at the airport with his Quadro Alas team.

The 35-year-old Filipino had fought his last two fights.
Japanese Masayuki Ito of Treasure Boxing also promotes Casimero.
Ito couldn’t hide his disappointment when Casimero came in at 123 lbs the last time he tipped the scales - and subsequently officially declared overweight for his match against Sanchez which was set at 122 lbs.
He initially came in at 124lbs and was given two hours to lose the extra poundage, but to no avail.
Casimero though, put on a show on fight night, knocking down Sanchez twice before the referee stopped the fight at the 2:41 mark of the first round after a right straight by the Filipino wobbled the American anew.
But the celebration proved shortlived for the camp of Casimero (34-4-1 with 23 KOs) as the JBC cracked the whip on the controversial Filipino boxer.
