AMIR Khan said he is next in line to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr., confident he can put a blemish on the unbeaten fighter’s record after seeing Manny Pacquiao fall short.
According to a report by The Telegraph Sports, Khan claimed he has been approached by people from the Mayweather camp during the Pacquiao match on Saturday in Las Vegas (Sunday Manila time).
Although he is also being primed to face another Briton in Kell Brock, Khan said he is ready to fight Mayweather.
“I’m in a position where I could face either but I want Mayweather,” Khan told The Telegraph’s Gareth Davies.
“I think Mayweather’s team wants the fight,” Khan added.
Mayweather is one victory shy of tying Rocky Marciano’s career record of 49-0.
