Angel Surada poured seven of her 11 points in the fourth quarter for NU
UST clawed back from a 17-point deficit in the third, 51-34, and got to within 77-75 after a Tacky Tacatac triple with 10.7 left.
Angel Surada split her freebies at the 6.1 mark, giving an opportunity for the Lady Tigresses but Joylyn Pangilinan missed her attempt from beyond the arc.

"I thought UST came in with a lot of fight today, they gave us a hard time today. Give credit to our girls for staying in the game and our system," said NU head coach Aris Dimaunahan.
"I think this is the first time this season that an opponent has outrebounded us. That is one thing we have to address," he added, referring to the 46-44 disparity.
Eka Soriano had 18 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists for UST.
Tacatac also scored 18 for UST, which fell to 2-1.
Meanwhile, La Salle repulsed rival Ateneo, 75-67, for their second win in three games.
Lee Sario scored 11 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter, and made 11 rebounds. Fina Tchuido added 13 markers and 10 boards.
Down by nine early in the fourth quarter, Ateneo's Jhazmin Joson led the comeback bid by converting a fastbreak layup off the steal, 70-67, 1:50 to go.
Sario responded with a huge triple from the right wing for a 73-67 advantage with 54.3 seconds left.
"We can lose to any team but we don't want to lose to Ateneo. Maybe because I was from an era when that was the thing," said Lady Archers head coach Cholo Villanueva.
"For us, it's really the competition and the pride of not losing to the rival team," he added.
Kacey Dela Rosa topscored for Ateneo, pumping in 21 points on top of 14 rebounds, while Joson contributed 14 markers for the now 1-2 Blue Eagles.
