LUIS Pablo has ended his brief stint with the UP Fighting Maroons to join the reigning UAAP men's basketball champions De La Salle Green Archers.
The NCAA Season 98 juniors' MVP is set for a surprise homecoming after previously playing for La Salle Greenhills (LSGH) where he built a strong one-two punch with another LSGH-turned-UP ace Seven Gagate together with fellow ex-Greenie and soon-to-debut Maroon in Josh Coronel.

Pablo's rookie year in Diliman didn't go quite as planned as he only saw roughly nine minutes of play in 16 games all season, including the Maroons' three-game Finals defeat to the Archers.

With such limited game time, he only averaged 1.5 points and 1.75 rebounds in a size-laden side featuring Gagate, fellow Season 86 rookie Sean Alter, and the outgoing Season 85 MVP Malick Diouf among other UP bigs.
Pablo, however, isn't the only one to step away from UP as fellow NCAA standout Chris Hubilla and top high school prospect Jared Bahay both de-committed from the Fighting Maroons this year to join Letran and Ateneo, respectively.
But for the Maroons, two new additions have come their way in the offseason thus far with Fil-American ace Miguel Yniguez and University of the East hotshot guard Rey Remogat poised for their UP debuts after serving their residency year.
For the Green Archers, similarly, Pablo joins the likes of top-caliber playmakers Jacob Cortez and Kean Baclaan — both carrying La Salle pedigree — as the squad's forthcoming Season 88 headliners.
