Kevin Quiambao says he's staying at La Salle to go for back-to-back titles

DESPITE offers to play abroad, Kevin Quiambao will stay at La Salle for UAAP Season 87.

The league’s reigning season and Finals MVP shared his final decision to stay at La Salle for another season in an Instagram post on Wednesday afternoon, ending weeks of speculation.

“Playing for DLSU has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. After constantly consulting my family and friends, we're excited to run it back and try to make it B2B,” said Quiambao.

Caught in the midst of a emotional whirlwind during the Green Archers’ title coronation at the end of Game Three, the athletic big man bared his desire to stay at La Salle.

Quiambao, however, was quick to temper his ‘one more year’ remark during the live TV interviews, saying he needed a bit more time to reflect on what will be a huge career decision.

"Bawal pa sabihin,” Quiambao said. “For now, pahinga muna ko and then in these next few weeks, siguro malalaman niyo kung anong future ko.”
