HAPPY as Thirdy Ravena was with his debut, he knows that he still has ways to go when it comes to his adjustment to the Japan B.League.
"Definitely, I'm very thankful, but I still have a lot to improve on especially my conditioning. But I'm very happy that our team won," said Ravena, the first to come in under the Japan league's Asian import innovation.
The Filipino high-flyer proved a big spark for San-En NeoPhoenix as it took down Shimane Susanoo Magic in a 83-82 road victory on Saturday.
The three-time UAAP Finals MVP picked his spots and unleashed eight of his 13 points in the fourth quarter. He added two rebounds and two assists in the win.

It was a promising start to this new chapter in the career of Ravena, but he knows the performance will make him a target for opposing teams moving forward.
"Honestly, I don't know what to expect. There will be adjustments from our opponents to counter what we're doing, but we'll see," he said.
San-En and Susanoo meet anew on Sunday to wrap up their two-game series at Yonago Industrial Gymnasium in Tottori.
Ravena, though, vowed to bring his A-game every time he steps on the court.
"I'm here to do whatever it takes to help team win. I'll do my best," the 23-year-old said.
