WITH just a game left in its PBA On Tour campaign, coach Yeng Guiao is proud of how Rain or Shine has been performing in the preseason.
Neved mind if the games have no bearing at all.
Following their 131-108 victory over Blackwater Bossing on Sunday, the Elasto Painters are already a cinch to finish at second place behind league-leading Magnolia Hotshots.

While the wins may not be considered official, Guiao would take it as it is.
“Yung larong ito, although alam natin hindi naman ito bearing talaga, but this will cement our second-place finish,” said Guiao in the post-game presser at the FilOili EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
“We can claim second place kahit na kunya-kunyarian lang yung laro dito,” he added. “Bragging rights pa rin kahit papaano.”
Guiao was prouder of the 40 assists dished out by the team compared to just 12 turnovers.
"Walang coach na hindi matutuwa sa 40 assists. And then we only had 12 turnovers. Maganda yung assist-to-turnover ratio namin. That means they're (Elasto Painters) playing smarter, that means you make the game easier. You have 40 assists so that means you make the game easier," said the Rain or Shine coach.
"It's not only easier. The game looks more beautiful when you're passing the ball."

A Blackwater win would have given the Bossing a possible shot at catching up with Rain or Shine for second place.
But with the loss, the Bossing fell to a 6-4 record in a tie for third place with Meralco.
Rain or Shine will face Meralco for its final game on Friday, and Guiao intends to finish the team’s campaign on a winning note.
