JUST how valuable is William Navarro for Northport?
Despite still recovering from an ACL injury, the Batang Pier have signed the forward out of Ateneo to a two-year contract.
NorthPort management confirmed the deal with the 26-year-old Navarro a day after the team’s 95-87 loss to NLEX in the PBA On Tour.

“Naka-sign na siya ng two-year deal,” said team manager Pido Jarencio.
Navarro went down with a full ACL tear last December during the PBA Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals series between Northport and Barangay Ginebra.
He was just a few games from signing a two-conference contract with the franchise when he suffered the injury.
Navarro was given 10 to 12 months to completely heal from the injury.
If ever, his full recovery will be just in time for the opening of PBA’s Season 48.
“Baka October ready na siya. Sakto lang sa opening ng season,” said Jarencio. “Pero tingnan din natin. Ayaw din naman namin siyang madaliin.”
