TITAN Ultra is the newest team in the PBA after mother company Pureblends Corporation purchased the NorthPort franchise in time for the 50th season.
This early, the arrival of the Giant Risers drew mixed reactions especially with the nature of their product, a dietary supplement for men.
But team governor Emil Tiu said the golden season of the league is a perfect time to introduce a product that, he added, is set to be released in the market soon.

Besides, Tiu said Pureblends Corporation's other products such as coffee and juice drinks are already known in the market, so they believe using the PBA vehicle to introduce the dietary supplement is the right strategy.
“Previously, we have our product line such as coffee, juice powder, and beauty products but this year, with the 50 years of PBA, we feel that this will be an impact. We want to come in also with an impact product. That’s why we introduced our product which is Titan Ultra,” said Tiu.
“The first idea is to use the old product but it was already in the market. Kilala na eh,” said Tiu. “Maybe this might be helpful for everybody. ‘Yun ang observation namin.”

Regardless of the product the company carries, Tiu guaranteed that Titan Ultra is in the PBA for the long haul.
“We want to stay for another 50 years,” he added.
Tiu believes the PBA is the perfect avenue for their company to gain exposure.
“The intention of joining the PBA is for exposure. But we waited for this year which is the 50th year of the PBA. We want to join the circus because it is for exposure and the quality of the PBA players. We have the right timing to join the PBA this year,” said Tiu.
