THE PBA officially welcomed Pureblends Corp. as its newest team member heading into the 50th season of Asia's first ever play-for-pay league.
Board treasurer Atty. Raymond Zorilla announced the league's approval of Pureblend's buyout of the former NorthPort franchise during the formal presser of the PBA Season 50 on Wednesday at Shangri-La Hotel at The Fort.
Also introduced was Emilio Tiu, who will sit on the PBA board as representative of the franchise that will carry the Titan Ultra Giant Risers brand.

At the same time, the league announced that former NorthPort coach and team manager Pido Jarencio will now serve as team governor of Terrafirma.
"We'd like to announce to everybody formally that the Board of Governors had approved and accepted the purchase of Pureblends of the Northport franchise and they will be entering the 50th season of the PBA," said Zorilla in accepting Pureblends in the league.
"They will be known as the Titan Ultra team."

Zorilla added that the board accepted the nomination of Tiu as Pureblends' team governor.
Also approved was the nomination of Jarencio to become the next team governor of Terrafirma, replacing Bobby Rosales.
"We formally made known that coach Pido Jarencio will now sit as board of governor of Terrafirma.
