THE holiday season is truly a merry one for Don Trollano.
And Michael Miranda, too.
The two signed contract extensions with the NLEX Road Warriors just before Christmas, SPIN.ph learned from sources.
Trollano, who has become one of the team’s go-to-guys following the exit of Kiefer Ravena, was given a new two-year deal that will have him stay in the franchise until 2025.
Miranda meanwhile, agreed to another one-year contract and will remain a Road Warrior until 2024.
Both Trollano and Miranda are key NLEX players from the time of ex-coach Yeng Guiao all the way to current mentor Frankie Lim.
Trollano most especially as he rose to become the Road Warriors’ top offensive threat during the Commissioner’s Cup, where he averaged 17.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists, while shooting a high 46 percent from three-point range.
Those numbers were good enough for the 30-year-old product of Adamson to land in the top five candidates for the Best Player of the Conference award.
Too bad, NLEX failed to advance in the playoffs after losing to Rain or Shine in their do-or-die encounter for the last quarterfinals berth, 110-104.
But twice in the conference, Trollano scored a career-high of 26 points which he did in a 124-114 overtime loss to Terrafirma and against Barangay Ginebra, 120-117.
