STANLEY Pringle will arrive next month to take part in Rain or Shine’s preparations for the 50th Season of the PBA.
Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao said Pringle is still in the US as he waits for the birth of his child, and at the same time is fixing the papers of his baby so the family can travel together back to Manila.
Nevertheless, the team looks forward to breaking Pringle in after signing him as an unrestricted free agent.

“Stanley, darating first week of September,” Guiao told SPIN.ph on Wednesday. “Hinihintay niya lang manganak ‘yung wife niya and then they need 10 days to secure the papers for the baby para madala nila dito.”
Preparations have already begun for Rain or Shine for the coming 50th season even with Pringle yet to arrive.
The 38-year-old Pringle signed a two-year deal with Rain or Shine after becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 49th Season. He last played for Terrafirma, which acquired him in a trade with Barangay Ginebra as part of the deal that sent Stephen Holt, Isaac Go, and the Season 49 No. 3 pick that turned out to be RJ Abarrientos to the Gin Kings.

In his final conference with Terrafirma, Pringle showed that he can still bring the offense when given the chance after averaging 13.2 points during the 49th Season Philippine Cup. He also normed 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals for the Dyip.
Guiao sees Pringle, the No. 1 pick in the 2014 PBA Draft, getting acclimated with Rain or Shine immediately even based from how negotiations between the team and his camp went during the offseason, given Pringle’s desire to play for a contender.
“Madali naman kausap si Stanley. Noong nag-start kami ng negotiations sa kanya, I think nag-usap kami isang beses lang, plantsado na lahat. We did not really bicker about ‘yung mga details. Madali lang. Alam niya ang sitwayson ng Rain or Shine. Alam din namin ‘yung sitwasyon niya.”
“I think he just wants to play for a team that can contend and that can make use of his talent. Nag-tugma naman ‘yung expectations namin. Mabilis lang. We are also excited to have him back first week of September," said Guiao the four-time PBA champion.
