STANLEY Pringle is now a Gin King.
The 32-year-old Pringle has officially joined a stacked Ginebra backcourt following a blockbuster trade between the crowd darlings and NorthPort.
Under the terms of the deal, Pringle joined the Gin Kings in exchange for Sol Mercado, Kevin Ferrer, and Jervy Cruz.
A NorthPort first-round pick that was supposed to be part of the trade was no longer in the final version of the deal approved by the PBA Commissioner's Office.
Drafted first overall in the 2014 PBA Rookie Draft, Pringle is set for a fresh start after spending all of his five seasons in the PBA with the Batang Pier.
The Fil-American guard will bolster an already deadly Ginebra backcourt which features LA Tenorio, Scottie Thompson and newly acquired Jared Dillinger.
Pringle has been a consistent candidate for the Best Player of the Conference for the past two years, though he has yet to see action this 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup after undergoing surgery to remove bone spurs in his right ankle.
Meanwhile, it will be a reunion of sorts at NorthPort as Ferrer and Cruz will link up anew with coach Pido Jarencio, their mentor during their collegiate days in University of Santo Tomas.
Mercado also returns to the GlobalPort franchise where he had two stints before, his last in being in 2014.
