SAN Miguel will parade a new import when the PBA Governors’ Cup kicks off next week.
The Beermen brought in former Memphis Grizzlies Jordan Adams for the opening conference of Season 49, taking over the import spot that previously belonged to Lithuanian Tauras Jogela.

Adams is coming fresh from a stint in the Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) where he suited up for the Dewa United Banten.
Dewa, the top seeded team, was ambushed by Satria Muda in the semifinals. Satria Muda eventually lost to Justine Brownlee and Pelita Jaya in the best-of-three title series that went the full route.
The Atlanta, Georgia native was actually under the radar of San Miguel along with the 31-year-old Jogela, who barely made the 6-foot-6 height limit for the conference when he was previously measured at 6-foot-5 7/8 at the PBA office.
Adams, 30, was a prolific scorer in college with UCLA, where he was teammates with Kyle Anderson and former San Miguel import Shabazz Muhammad.
After foregoing his final two years of college eligibility, he applied for the NBA drat and was taken in at no. 22 by the Grizzlies.
Following his stint with Memphis, Adams played in the NBA G. League and then went overseas and saw action in Syria, Mexico, Argentina, and Uruguay.
