RETOOLED Converge and guest team Eastern Sports Club face separate foes on opening day of the PBA 49th Season Commissioner's Cup on November 27 at the Philsports Arena.
The FiberXers take on Terrafirma at 5 p.m. while Hong Kong-based Eastern - the first PBA guest team since the Bay Area Dragons - goes up against the Phoenix Fuelmasters in the 7:30 p.m. nightcap.

The opening action will see the PBA debut of Jordan Heading, who will, incidentally, face the team that drafted him in the Season 47 special Gilas draft.
Heading was acquired by Converge in a trade withTerrafirma in exchange for Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and a Season 51 first-round draft pick.
Melecio and Zaldivar will also be going up against their former team in the opener.
Only the first week of games were released by the league office on Monday.
The second playdate on Thursday, November 28 will have NorthPort taking on NLEX at 5 p.m. and Blackwater colliding with Magnolia Chicken Timplados at 7:30 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

The PBA stays at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Friday, November 29, when Phoenix battles Meralco at 5 p.m., and Converge faces Eastern at 7:30 p.m.
Weekend games will be held at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City with NLEX going up against Blackwater, and Terrafirma facing NorthPort on Saturday, November 30.
On Sunday, December 1, Magnolia and Converge go up against each other at 5 p.m., while Meralco battles the debuting Rain or Shine at 7:30 p.m., also at the Ynares Center.
