THE Philippine Basketball Association All-Star festivities could likely be scrapped for Season 49 as the potential host won’t be available for the scheduled dates.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said the league failed to reach an agreement with the province it is eyeing to replace Davao in staging the annual classic.

Marcial though, refused to name which province the league was in talks with.
“Most probably mawala yung All-Star,” said Marcial on Wednesday following the PBA Philippine Cup game between TNT and NLEX.
The target date was May 16-18, according to the commissioner.
“Dapat after elections yun. Pero hindi pupuwede yung kausap namin,” said Marcial.

The PBA had to shop around for a new All-Star host after Davao suddenly became unavailable due to security concern and political situation in the city.
Davao was supposed to hold the All-Star weekend from May 2-4.
