ANDREW Nicholson will be the import of the Bay Area Dragons all the way to the conclusion of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals.
Bay Area coach Brian Goorjian revealed the decision, saying Myles Powell is already out for the rest of the conference due to a torn tendon in his toe.
“Myles is out injured. It’s serious. It’s a serious injury. It’s going to be months,” Goorjian, referring to the recovery of Powell, said after the Dragons booked a place in the finals against Barangay Ginebra.

Nicholson was reinstalled as Bay Area import exactly due to the injury of Powell before the quarterfinals against Rain or Shine.
Bay Area still has the option to reactivate Powell, but Nicholson would no longer be eligible to return.
Goorjian hopes that Powell will be healthy in time for the Dragons’ campaign in the East Asia Super League.
“He rolled his toe and tore a tendon. Had an MRI and there is a tear. Put in a boot, and it’s six weeks minimum. And then rehab. There’s no chance (for him to come back for the finals),” said Goorjian.
“It’s a period of time. We hope we can get him right for the EASL. But he is out,” Goorjian added.
