NARDS Pinto hopes to get back in action for Barangay Ginebra starting in the new year.
The veteran guard has been out of action in the PBA Commissioner's Cup for the last three weeks since suffering a slight fracture on his nose in an out-of-town game against Phoenix.
Pinto looks forward to return
"May fracture ng kaunti kaya tumabingi siya. Pero naayos na," said Pinto. "January na ako makakabalik."
No surgery was needed, but Pinto has yet to be given the go-signal by doctors to play.
He has missed the Kings' last three games since getting hit by Phoenix import Jonathan Williams during a mad scramble for the loose ball in the third quarter of the match held at the FPJ Arena in San Jose, Batangas.
Pinto failed to finish the game as he was immediately brought to the hospital, with blood flowing from his nose.

The Kings lost the game, 82-77.
Pinto though lamented, Williams got away with just an ordinary foul following the incident.
"Sana flagrant or technical foul man lang," the guard out of Arellano University said.
