Terrafirma out to win second straight

Terrafirma enters the game against Converge with a 1-1 win-loss record after the Dyip stunned NLEX, 97-91, in tjeir last outing on October 12. Coincidentally, the last time the Dyip won two straight games was in the 2024 Philippine Cup and it was against Converge and NLEX at the start of the conference. Will history repeat itself?

    Converge stung in Vigan

Converge lost in its previous game against TNT, 110-103, when the Tropang 5G shot the lights out by making 20 threes in Vigan. The FiberXers actually didn’t play bad in that game, shooting 47 percent from the field and outrebounding the Tropang 5G, 47-37. But Converge couldn’t keep up with TNT as it shot 9-of-22 from threes.

Robert Bolick's ability to close out games for NLEX has come under question.

    Going for win No. 2

Phoenix and NLEX will go for their second win when they square off in the second game of the Wednesday doubleheader.

Their previous games had contrasting results. The Fuelmasters defeated San Miguel, 109-103, last October 12, while the Road Warriors were stunned by Terrafirma, 97-91, on that same date.

    Robert Bolick expected to return

Robert Bolick is expected to play in Wednesday’s game against Phoenix, having returned to the country after he went to the US after the death of his father. Even though NLEX is fresh from a win, the Road Warriors still need an added punch in order to defeat Phoenix.

    NLEX gets added size

The Road Warriors signed their third rounder Lorenz Capulong after his commitment with the Bataan Risers ended with the team’s exit in the MPBL play-in games. Capulong is a 6-foot-6 player who can bring additional size to the Road Warriors and complement Brandon Ramirez and Jonel Policarpio.
