LA TENORIO is now cancer-free.
The good news was revealed by Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone on the sidelines of the Gilas Pilipinas press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Cone said Tenorio had his last PET scan (positron emission tomography) on Tuesday in Singapore where it was confirmed that he no longer has cancer.
“We just got really good news. His last PET scan he took today. He is in Singapore right now. And he is cancer-free,” said Cone.
Tenorio was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer last March, forcing him to take a break from his basketball career as he underwent chemotherapy in Singapore.
During the chemotherapy sessions, he was visited by current and former teammates, among them Justin Brownlee and Mark Caguioa.
Cone said doctors have cleared Tenorio to practice after a few days, making him on target for a return in the coming PBA Season 48.
“He is finished with all of his chemo sessions and he has been declared cancer-free. And they told him that within days, he can start practicing. In three or four days, he can start practice,” said Cone.
Cone admitted he even considered Tenorio to be part of the Asian Games roster, but said the former Gilas player was not part of the list submitted to the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.
“The only problem is LA is not on the list. We can’t include you in the national team. But I would have put him the Asian Games team if he is on the list because he knows our system more than anybody,” said Cone.
