THE PBA has issued a summon on Kelly Nabong at the league’s office for his ejection in Sunday’s Governors’ Cup match against Meralco, commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed.
Marcial said Nabong will appear before him on Tuesday. The league will summon Nabong after he was sent off in the Beermen’s 125-99 loss to the Bolts at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Nabong was ejected after a flagrant foul penalty one then a technical foul at the 7:46 mark of the fourth period when a collision against Chris Newsome caused the Meralco guard to fall hard on the floor.
Nabong’s ejection compounded to the woes of San Miguel in the match as import Dez Wells didn’t play in the second half due to an ankle sprain.
Led by Allen Durham’s triple double, the Bolts sent the Beermen to their third loss in eight games as they suffered back-to-back defeats, the first coming at the expense of NorthPort.
