KAMRON Vigan-Fleming not only made news because he was one of the lowest-picked players in the draft, but also his gesture after being selected by Converge.
The 61st overall pick in the draft was noticed by netizens putting his arm around PBA commissioner Willie Marcial when he went up the stage after his name was called.

Vigan-Fleming laughed about the scene when asked about it during the recent PBA Media Day, saying he couldn’t contain his excitement after being picked in the sixth round.
“My mind was completely not there,” said Vigan-Fleming. “I looked back, my family have flown from the States to come and watch me get drafted. I literally wasn’t there. I was ecstatic when I got drafted. I couldn’t even feel my legs. I don’t how I made it to the stage.”
“I put around my arm on somebody not knowing it’s the commissioner. And I just kept it there because I was so scared. I don’t know if he felt it but I was shaking,” said Vigan-Fleming.
“It was funny thing that everybody kinda got on me after. He smiled through it. I thanked him for being a beautiful person with that,” he added.
“Once I sat there, they were like ‘Do you know what you were doing there?’ I said no, I was scared. That’s the commissioner. You just had your arm. Even more scared,” said Vigan-Fleming.
His draft day moment exudes how happy he was being drafted, and the feeling remains until now. The Bethesda product said he looks forward to playing and contributing for the FiberXers.
“It’s a dream come true. Late pick or not, I know what I’m capable of doing. I’ve been preaching my whole life to be a two-way player, offense and defense, I’ll go out there and make things happen, hustle plays, taking charges. It’s not about the pick for me. It’s about the belief in the system and the belief that they have in me,” said Vigan-Fleming.
