AFTER a heartbreaking stretch, Jericho Cruz is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
The NLEX guard was signed to a new contract by NLEX on Monday, putting a happy end to a year that saw Cruz endure months of inactivity near the end of his TnT contract before being reunited with coach Yeng Guiao at the Road Warriors camp.
Guiao said Cruz was signed to a two-year maximum deal worth P10 million.
The signing comes as a perfect tonic for the former Adamson Falcons guard, who aside from dealing with a sorry 126-123 triple-overtime loss to NorthPort that ended NLEX's season also lost his father days later.
Here was his message on Twitter:

The NLEX stint is like a new lease on life for Cruz, who was mysteriously taken off the TnT rotation by consultant Mark Dickel before he was sent to NLEX in a three-team trade in June that also involved NorthPort.
