JAVI Gomez de Liano bid Terrafirma goodbye in a stunning announcement that could set back the gains of the PBA ballclub from last season.
After two seasons where he rose to become one of the most crucial pieces in a much-improved Dyip side, the 25-year old forward posted on social media that he is leaving after two seasons with the franchise.
"I am truly grateful for the opportunity of being able to play in the PBA, most especially making it to the playoffs with this franchise. The team accepted me with open arms from the day I got traded and have helped me develop into not only a better player, but more importantly, a better individual," Javi GDL posted on Instagram.

Although no official announcements were made, de Liano is expected to head to Korea to play for a KBL side.
The former UP Maroon had prior experience playing overseas, having suited up for the Ibaraki Robots in the Japan B.League in an injury-plagued season where he averaged less than 10 minutes of playing time a game.

Javi GDL returned to join the 2021 PBA draft, where he was picked eighth overall by his favorite team growing up, Barangay Ginebra, before being traded along with Brian Enriquez for No. 2 pick Jeremiah Gray.
However, he blossomed into one of the best scorers in the league in his two seasons with the Dyip. He averaged 15.92 points and 5.58 assists in the Philippine Cup, where the franchise reached the playoffs for only the second time in its history.
But instead of being one of the key building blocks for the franchise for next season, Javi decided to leave at the end of his two-year contract with Terrafirma.

Here's Javi's complete post (as is):
