MONTALBAN, Rizal – The PBA’s second playdate at the new Ynares Center II was a blockbuster.
Following lean attendances in the other regular venues of the league, a jampacked crowd of 8,175 fans watched Sunday’s action between San Miguel and Terrafirma, and Rain or Shine and Magnolia in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Tickets were soldout for the doubleheader, which was the second for the league since the venue was opened recently.
The PBA held its first game at the new venue last May 2 with NLEX defeating Blackwater, 80-72, and Phoenix winning over TNT, 95-81.

Sunday saw a pair of blowouts with San Miguel defeating Terrafirma, 128-89, in the first game and Rain or Shine ending the Hotshots' six-game unbeaten start to the Philippine Cup with a 119-105 victory.
Sunday’s playdate was the last at the venue for the Philippine Cup eliminations, but with the turnout, don’t be surprised if the PBA returns sooner rather than later.
Aside from the PBA, MPBL games as well as provincial events are already being held at the second Ynares Center venue after the one built in Antipolo.
