MONTALBAN, Rizal – San Miguel cruised past Terrafirma, 128-89, on Sunday at the Ynares Center II to claim its second straight win in the PBA Philippine Cup.
Seven SMB players scored in double figures led by Mo Tautuaa, who had 27 points. Rodney Brondial had a monster double-double of 16 points and a career-high 22 rebounds as the Beermen improved to 5-2 (win-loss) for solo third.
Terrafirma continued to lose in lopsided fashion, falling to 1-7 following the 39-point defeat.

San Miguel coach Leo Austria said the team made sure not to take lightly a Terrafirma team that had lost six previous games by an average of 30 points.
“During practice, I kept on mentioning about Terrafirma and we can’t relax because the last time they lost, more than 30 against Magnolia. We cannot do less than that kind of margin. I’m so happy with the players, they responded well.
“Never mind who is leading, what I told them is keep on playing, keep on executing our offense and defense. It’s habit-forming for us,” said Austria.
CJ Perez added 17 points, while Juami Tiongson had 13 points. June Mar Fajardo had 12 points and 12 rebounds, as Don Trollano and Jericho Cruz finished with 12 and 11 points apiece.
Mark Nonoy scored 24 points while Stanley Pringle had 17 points for the Dyip, who have now lost by an average margin of 31.3 points.
