WITH Justin Brownlee's status in doubt, the question perhaps in the minds of Barangay Ginebra fans is that can the team still bring in a replacement.
Brownlee left in the third quarter of Game 3 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals after suffering a dislocated right thumb. After retreating to the dugout to get treatment, Brownlee was eventually taken to the hospital.

The Gin Kings fell, 87-85, to go down 2-1 in the best-of-seven championship series against the Tropang Giga. Worse, they face the prospect of playing without their resident import starting with Game 4 on Friday.
So can Ginebra still bring in a replacement import? The answer is yes.
PBA rules state that a team can replace its import as late as a Game 7 of a championship series if it so desires.

If Ginebra chooses that route, Brownlee can still return as he is the original import of the Gin Kings for this conference.
But for now, Ginebra and its legions of fans are holding their breath hoping Brownlee can play the rest of the series.
