SCOTTIE Thompson is uncertain on when he can rejoin Gilas Pilipinas in practice following the metacarpal fracture he suffered during the team’s European training trip.
But if there’s an upside to it, he said the injury is healing fast.

“Mabilis siyang nag-heal,” said Thompson at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan when he watched Barangay Ginebra in action against Converge during the PBA on Tour Sunday. “So we’ll see.”

The Barangay Ginebra point guard said a second X-ray will be made on his injured right hand by next week.
“I-X-ray siya ulit next week. Doon na malalaman kung puwede na akong maglaro or hindi,” said Thompson.
Metacarpal fractures usually heals from about six to eight weeks.
Thompson however, remains optimistic about his health situation.
“Siyempre gusto nating makalaro,” he said. “Ang maganda lang talaga mabilis siyang mag-heal.”
