The two GAME Fours of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals drew the biggest crowd so far in the mid-season conference.
Crowd attendance at the Smart Araneta Coliseum was announced at 14,615 as Rain or Shine defeated Barangay Ginebra, 97-85, in a game marred by the heated exchange between Kings governor Alfrancis Chua and Elasto Painters coach Yeng Guiao.

The best-of-seven series is now tied at two-games apiece.
The main game had TNT and Meralco parading replacement imports in returning Chris McCullough and American-Egyptian Patrick Gardner, respectively.
The crowd turned out can also be attributed to Wednesday being declared a holiday by Malacanang in observance of the Eid Adha (Festival of Sacrifice), one of the most important events in the Islamic calendar.

The live audience is the second biggest attendance in Season 50 after the Jan. 11 Game 4 semis that featured Barangay Ginebra and San Miguel Beer and TNT against Meralco during the Philippine Cup.
