RAIN or Shine drew even with Barangay Ginebra following a vengeful 97-85 win in Game Four of their PBA 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup semifinal series on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The Elasto Painters led by as many as 26 points thanks to their fiery three-point shooting, balanced scoring attack, and defense, with a 27-13 second-quarter setting the stage for the crucial victory that tied the series at 2-2.

Rain or Shine avoided a 3-1 hole heading into Game 5 of the best-of-seven series on Friday, also at the Big Dome.
The Elasto Painters limited the league-leading Gin Kings to only five threes in a game that saw Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao and Ginebra team governor Alfrancis Chua get into a heated exchange twice.
Rain or Shine tied the series despite Jaylen Johnson being in foul trouble although he still wound up with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Gian Mamuyac filled the void for the Elasto Painters with 12 points, while Christian Manaytay came off the bench to finish with 11 points and three rebounds in 18 minutes of play.
“Eto lang naman yung gusto namin, pahabain yung series,” said Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao. “The longer the series, I feel we have a chance. Chance lang naman.”
“I feel like our longer rotation, our bench can help to extend this series to six or seven games. We are just trying to prolong the series,” said Guiao.
Justin Brownlee had 27 points and 10 rebounds, and Scottie Thompson had 20 points in a loss.
