ANTIPOLO - Did the curse of Ynares Center strike again?
It appeared to be so as NLEX import Dequan Jones became the latest to suffer a major injury in the arena early in the third quarter of the PBA Governors' Cup game between the Road Warriors and defending champion TNT on Tuesday night.

Jones is the fifth player to suffer an horrific injury in the Antipolo venue where Kevin Alas (thrice), Isaac Go, and Ed Daquioag had suffered major injuries in the past.
Lest be forgotten, Fil-Am Eugene Tejada also went down with a career-ending spinal injury in the same playing court 20 years ago during the game between Purefoods and Red Bull.
Jones hurt his leg when he tried to drive past Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and lost his balance with 7:27 left in the third and the Road Warriors ahead, 69-59.
As Jones went down awkwardly to the floor with his right leg caught under him, the entire weight of Ganuelas-Rosser fell on top of him, leaving the stocky import shouting and grimacing in pain.
He was later stretchered out of the venue and brought to the hospital.
