ANTIPOLO - NLEX import Dequan Jones was rushed to a hospital after suffering a horror injury in the second half of the Road Warriors' game against TNT in the PBA 50th Season Governors' Cup at the Ynares Center.
The well-built NLEX import suffered what doctors feared was a complete fracture of his lower right leg after slipping while driving strong to the basket. His right foot got caught under him as TNT defender Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser landed on top of him.
The gruesome injury that happened at the 7:27 mark of the third quarter remaining left players, coaches, staff and fans stunned, with Ganuelas-Rosser looking inconsolable as he wrapped his head in a towel on the TNT bench.
Reserve TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who is recovering from an Achilles tear, was seen turning his back as Jones was attended to on the court.

"Oh, that's tough to look at," TV anchor Carlo Pamintuan said as a stunned Jones writhed in pain on the court, just realizing the gravity of the injury.
Jones was immediately wheeled out of the court in a stretcher. The hulking import managed to hold out a thumbs-up sign as RHJ and TNT teammate RR Pogoy approached and comforted him.
