The PBA trade committee approved on Friday the deal that had Converge moving up to No. 2 in Sunday's Rookie Draft.

In exchange, the FiberXers sent to Phoenix their own first-round pick at No. 8 overall and forward Bryan Santos.

Converge also acquired a 2026 second-round pick - whichever is lower between picks previously acquired from Phoenix and NLEX - in the deal that SPIN.ph first reported on Thursday.
The deal is the second involving Converge and Phoenix to be approved by the PBA Commissioner's Office is as many days.
On Thursday, a three-team deal that saw Converrge's Jeo Ambohot go to new team Pureblends, Phoenix's Larry Muyang to the FiberXers, and Evan Nelle to the Fuelmasters got the league's approval.
Converge will now be picking behind Terrafirma on Sunday - a big move up from No. 8 in a pool that includes 6-9 center Geo Chiu, flamboyant scorer Juan Gomez de Liano, and guards Dalph Panopio, LJ Gonzales, and Jason Brickman.

On the other hand, Santos adds size and consistent shooting to the wings position at Phoenix, which will also enjoy an upgrade at point guard with the arrival of Nelle in Willy Wilson's first season in charge.
