Less than a month into his PBA career, Chris Koon has woken up to one of the realities in the life of a professional player.
On Tuesday, the former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout was traded by new team Titan Ultra to Magnolia for six-year veteran Aris Dionisio. The straight-up, one-on-one deal was already approved by the PBA trade committee.

Koon was taken No. 4 overall as the first-ever PBA draft selection of Titan Ultra, which acquired the PBA franchise of NorthPort lock, stock, and barrel just weeks before the start of the pro league's 50th season.
The deal was first reported by the Tiebreaker Times.
Koon was signed to a two-year contract by Titan just days after the draft and he has responded with solid averages of 7.6 points and 4 rebounds in his first five games as a PBA player - four of which Titan lost.

The 6-4 forward looked like a good fit for the Giant Risers, but the trade, sources said, was one of the 'requests' to the new franchise owners when the sale was approved.
Instead, the Giant Risers now get Dionisio, a former first-round pick who, despite his 6-3 frame, spends most of his time in the perimeter.
