TITAN Ultra just signed its first rookie out of the recent PBA draft.
The Giant Risers gave Chris Koon a two-year contract just a day after the 50th season of the league got going.
Koon, a product of Ateneo, was the No. 4 overall pick in the last draft taken in by NorthPort when its franchise was yet to be taken over by Pureblends, the mother company of Titan Ultra.

On Monday, he finally came on board during a contract signing attended by no less than team owner Byrann Calantoc.
Joining them are team manager Adriane Anglim and Marvin Espiritu of the Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management who represents Koon.
He completes the 15-man roster of the Giant Risers in the opening conference.
Titan Ultra has two other rookies in its roster in big man Mario Barasi and Arvin Bringas.
Barasi was also selected in the recent rookie draft, but his rights didn’t originally belong to Pureblends as he was taken in by Barangay Ginebra in the second round at No. 13 overall.
He wasn’t given a tender offer by the Kings and became an unrestricted free agent rookie, who later on tried out with Titan Ultra and earned a roster spot.
Bringas also holds the same status as Barasi as he was likewise left unsigned by KIA (now Terrafirma) during the 2017 draft when he was made the no. 36 overall pick.
