CALVIN Oftana played for NLEX in a tune-up game on Wednesday after news broke that he has been traded to TNT in a deal that also involved Blackwater.
With the PBA yet to approve the trade, Oftana technically remained a Road Warrior on Wednesday and played in their tune-up at Kerry Sports against Korean ballclub LG Sakers, who are in the country for a series of scrimmages.

A few hours before the tune-up game, a trade proposal reached the PBA Commissioner’s Office seeking approval for the former San Beda star and Raul Soyud being shipped to TNT in the six-player, three-team deal.
The deal, which will be scrutinized by the league’s trade committee, also saw Troy Rosario and Gab Banal moving to Blackwater, and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and Paul Desiderio transferring to NLEX.
A third overall selection by NLEX in Season 46 draft, Oftana has fast become one of the rising stars of the league. He was the second leading scorer at NLEX behind Kevin Alas in the Philippine Cup with an average of 17 points per outing.
