SHAWN Glover is back to complete an unfinished business for Blackwater.
The 32-year-old American will be back for another tour of duty with the Bossing for the coming PBA Governors Cup.
Shawn Glover back as Bossing import
Glover is set to arrive in the country on Jan. 2 and joins the team right away the following day, according to coach Ariel Vanguardia.
“Napapayag natin si Shawn Glover na bumalik. So we expect him to be in practice on Jan. 3rd,” said Vanguardia on Saturday.
“Nag-start na rin naman siyang mag-work out para pagdating niya rito kundisyon na siya.”
Glover of course, was part of the Blackwater team that registered the longest losing streak in PBA annals with 29 straight games in last year’s Governors Cup.
But it was also the native of Dallas, Texas who helped the team end its record of futility after ending its campaign in the season-ending meet with a 101-100 win over top seed Magnolia Hotshots.
After failing to reach the playoffs of the Commissioner’s Cup, Blackwater began its preparation in the season-ending meet by starting to practice already two weeks ago.
The Bossing though, will be on a one-week break for the holiday season.
“Nag-start na kami (mag-practice) two weeks ago. Maaga kaming nag-prepare,” said Vanguardia. “Magbi-break lang kami ngayong Pasko and then sabak ulit kami ng a-dos (January).”
