ANTIPOLO – Beau Belga left Rain or Shine’s PBA Philippine Cup game against TNT late in the second quarter after experiencing dizziness on Wednesday.
Belga laid on the floor following a rebound, and stayed there for a couple of moments. He was later helped back to the bench and later stayed in the dugout for the rest of the ballgame that Rain or Shine lost, 111-103.

Several minutes after the final buzzer, Belga was seen being assisted by two Rain or Shine staff members on his way out of the Ynares Center.
Belga’s issues with his eye sight started when he experienced vertigo prior to the conference, causing him to miss Rain or Shine's first four games of the season-ending conference.
He played in the next two games, and started wearing goggles in Rain or Shine’s face-off against Magnolia last Sunday because of astigmatism. He has also been wearing eye glasses off the court and even when he's on the bench to address the problem.
Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao said Belga’s condition is concerning since he has been feeling okay over the last few days.
“Of course, we are concerned. Pero aware naman kami na he had all the approval and go-signal from his doctors. We would not put him in a dangerous situation. Siguro kailangan i-confirm uli kung ano ang magiging future recommendation ng doctor,” said Guiao.
In the TNT game, Belga played for seven minutes and 34 seconds where he grabbed four rebounds. He missed all of his three attempts.
Guiao said Belga will have to be re-assessed before he can even return to practice.
“He has been practicing well. Maganda ‘yung mga ensayo niya kaya very positive naman kami” said Guiao. “Pero ‘yung kanina nga, concerning din ‘yun. Pero hindi kami doktor so tingnan natin kung ano ‘yung recommendation ng doktor.”
