THE PBA Commissioner's Office has fined Converge assistant coach Humperdink Dimatulac and players Justine Baltazar and Mark Denver Omega P20,000 each for their "cooking" gesture during their knockout quarterfinal game against Barangay Ginebra.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial summoned the three on Monday to a meeting where they apologized for their actions.

Dimatulac and Baltazar were caught doing the "cooking" gesture in plain view of the public in a show of disappointment to the calls of the referees in the do-or-die game which the FiberXers lost.
Omega, on the other hand, was seen doing the gesture while the Converge rookie, who was also acquired a few months back in a trade with Rain or Shine, was on the bench.

Omega has yet to play a single game with Converge since joining the team after the NCAA season.
"Lahat naman sila nag-sorry, nadala sila sa emosyon. Sabi ko, wag na uulitin lalo na 'yung assistant coach na wag na (provoke) 'yung mga fans," said Marcial.
Converge ended up losing the ballgame in overtime, 99-98, after Stephen Holt converted a buzzer-beater, and was ousted from contention despite holding a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.
