ANDREI Caracut says he will keep in mind lessons learned from former Alab Pilipinas teammate Jason Brickman as he seeks his place in the PBA.
"Malaking impact sa akin yung nakasama ko si Jason Brickman sa team kasi every training talagang nakikipagcompete ako sa kanya," he told The Prospects Pod.
Caracut's brief time with the Fil-Am court general in San Miguel Alab Pilipinas was a big eye-opener for the Quezon native as he got a close view on how a player in Brickman's caliber operates.
"Nakikita ko siya kung paano siya maglaro at paano pumasa," he said.
Caracut knew better to be like a sponge in absorbing lessons from Brickman.

The 29-year-old Brickman, after all, is just one of the four players to dish out 1,000 career assists in the NCAA Division I in his time for Long Island University-Brooklyn.
He has shown his caliber in his numerous stops in the Asean Basketball League, first for Westports Malaysia Dragons where he won a championship and was named as Finals MVP, before going to Mono Vampire and eventually, with Alab Pilipinas.
"Kay Jason kasi, habang nakakalaro mo siya, natututo ka," remarked Caracut.
These experiences were valuable for the 5-foot-8 guard, especially with the level of competition he faced in the regional league.

"Sa ABL kasi yung ibang kalaban namin doon, iba mga former NBA players tsaka talagang mabibigat. Skilled sila at ang gagaling lumaro sa opensa, so defensively kailangan ready ka rin," he said.
And it's these learnings which Caracut is hoping to bring to the pro league as he hopes to be picked in the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft.
"Siguro yung experience na yun yung pinaka-madadala ko sa PBA," he said.
