FRAN Yu has seen the end of his collegiate career.
The senior Letran guard will no longer see action for Game Three of the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball finals as he will serve a one-game suspension in the title decider at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Yu was whistled for a disqualifying foul at the 5:29 mark of the second quarter of Game Two for throwing an elbow at Mark Sangco and had to watch from the dugout as St. Benilde levelled the best-of-three championship series with a 76-71 win.

This spelled the end of the Tondo-born guard's run at Muralla where he won two championships and a Finals MVP award back in 2019.
Whether he will have a third NCAA title under his belt would depend on the rest of the Knights, who will have to face the Blazers without their team captain next Sunday.
Yu was so confident of a Letran victory when he left the court in Game Two. After the Knights lost, he politely declined to give any more comments about his ejection as he made his way out of Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Knights coach Bonnie Tan was also at loss for words following the defeat, mum on whether they will pursue an appeal to get Yu's suspension rescinded.
