LETRAN's quest for an NCAA men's basketball three-peat will have to proceed without its star guard.
Fran Yu was ejected at the 5:29 mark of the second quarter of Game Two against top seed St. Benilde after being slapped with a disqualifying foul which very well spelled the end his collegiate career.
Yu was seen throwing an elbow at the Blazers' Mark Sangco, although he argued that he was just complaining to the referee and it was merely an incidental contact.
It's a tough blow for the Knights who were already missing Kobe Monje and Kyle Tolentino due to suspensions.
Yu, though, is still confident on Letran's chances as he made his way back to the dugout, saying, "Sa amin pa rin yan."

He finished with six points and one steal in Game Two of the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball Finals before hitting the showers.
Letran was still ahead against St. Benilde, 45-34, at the half, two quarters away from completing a sweep and securing a third straight crown.
