The 21-year-old Liwag left EAC last week after two seasons with the Generals, including a standout showing this past NCAA Season 98 where he posted 10.2 points and 8.6 rebounds.
Liwag joins a promising St. Benilde crew which is coming off a runner-up finish.
Tiu says Liwag "will be one of the better big men in the NCAA."
"We are thrilled that he will be transferring to us. We feel happy as a program that a young player is entrusting himself to us, so we have a responsibility to guide him as a person and develop him as a player. He will be a big boost to our team next year and we can't wait for him to go and start training with us."
Liwag will have to undergo residency and will still have three playing years left in his collegiate career.
He is poised to fill the role of Will Gozum upon his entry in NCAA Season 100 in 2024.
